~~~~~~ PERSONALITY[/b]
Personality: Has a short temper fuse, but is otherwise laid back. She is a happy person for the most part, but when under a lot of stress she tends to act over self sufficient and pretend that she can take on more then she really can. In which case she gets annoyed when people offer her help and that in turn annoys those around her and causes arguments. When in battle, she is both a healer and a fighter, so she tends to act both aggressive and gentile in a battle. In such circumstances the mixture of the two may occur, in which it is always best to let her work and not ask silly questions (i.e. don't talk to her while she's working with a patient).
Likes: (At least 3) many different types of food, to study crystal magic, and her knives. She’s quite particular to her knives. She also enjoys working with potions as a hobby and enjoys the company of cats.
Dislikes: (At least 3) she dislikes fungus. She hates fungus. In fact, if she could, she’d destroy all fungi in the world. She doesn’t like spiders. Not the small ones, but the big harry ones that try to kill people. She also is not a fan of soldiers for obvious reasons.
Fears: (At least 2) she’s afraid of thunderstorms and she also wigs out around dead bodies. Not newly dead bodies, but de-composing ones that people find on the street.
~~~~~~ HISTORY[/b]
History: (At least 100 words.) Amber was born in an old town halfway across the kingdom. She is the youngest out of three children. Her parents are a witch and wizard in hiding from the king and have also taught their children magic. When Amber was three years old, an evil dragon came and destroyed her home village and killed most of its inhabitant. Her family was part of the few survivors from that attack, and they were given a home to live in by the king in the city that surrounds the castle. A few years later, when Amber was ten, she became close friends with Carmella who she found out later was also a witch that lived within the city walls. As she grew, Amber began to meet and befriend other witches and wizards in the city. At the age of sixteen, they decided to leave the city for fear of getting discovered by the king. With her parent’s reluctant blessing, Amber set out with eight other magic users into a forest that was rumored to be filled with magic. There, they had their first contacts with good and evil dragons and from the good dragons, learned how to fight off the evil ones. At age twenty, Amber had established a home for herself in the forest with the eight people she followed. At least once every two months, another magic user would stumble across their home and the small community would welcome them in. So far, the “village” has grown to about fifteen people, one a young married couple with a baby on the way.
Random Facts: Amber has a collection of cats. She never really figured out where they all came from, but they just congregated at her cottage one day and meowed for food. Ever since they’ve been hanging around her and following her everywhere. Amber also keeps spell books that she finds. In fact, she goes on small quests to find spell books and magic history books to increase her ever growing library.

There was a storm that night; a storm that brought sheets upon sheets of rain and hail. Amber sat within her cottage working on a potion for the now very pregnant Hayle {[OOC: I have a question, can I do that with minor roles? Basically anyone who is not the main character or anyone else’s character? It won’t take too long to change if it’s not allowed]} who had recently taken ill; again. With her bushy blond hair frizzing more than usual in the damp moist air and her peach skin perspiring rapidly with moisture with each move she made, Amber concluded that she was in for a long night.
It didn’t pose as a surprise for her that she was going to pull an all-nighter for the third day in a row. After all, she was the only one with more than one potions book that was not a result of her own research. She didn’t mind the work. She enjoyed making potions since it was the only thing that didn’t really require any great works of magic to put together. All that it took was a certain skill with plants and a good eye for measurements. It was a skill that had taken her years to perfect and even with those years, she still found herself discovering more that she didn’t know about healing plants.
Even with her skill and love for making potions, Amber was beginning to feel a bit more fatigued then she particularly wanted to. As she added the final ingredient to the bubbling mass of ooze that would soon turn into a turquoise broth, Amber felt her eyes water with lack of sleep.
‘And it’s not even done yet,’ she thought, ‘I still have yet to stir it.’
As she lowered her hand to the table where the ladle that she intended to use lay, she heard a knock at her door.
Amber glared at the offending door when another knock was made and pulled herself away from her work table to answer it. As she approached the mahogany door, she self-consciously smoothed out the long black dress that she had donned for the intended work day and made an attempted to tame her frizzy hair. With a tired sigh, she opened the door.
“Good evening boss,” greeted the bright and cheerful face of a very wet, blond haired, blue eyed man.
Amber had to look up at him and squint to get a good look at him as his figure blurred out of focus for a moment.
“Terrance, it’s three in the morning,” she said expending great amounts of effort to not sound as tired as she felt.
The blond aristocratic tempered man shot her a wide grin and shook out his drenched blond mane. Amber raised an eyebrow at his show of, in her opinion, buffoonery, but kept her tongue in check.
“I came to make sure that you got some sleep. Surely you do remember what that is?” he asked sarcastically.
The blond haired woman rolled her eyes and caught herself before she fell over, “I am not tired Terrance! I am perfectly fine!”
She stomped her way back to her potion, picked up the ladle, and managed to somehow fling it out of her hand and onto the floor in the process of whirling around to face her potion. She didn’t even have to look to guess what type of look Terrance had on his face.
“Amber, contrary to popular belief, I can make a decent potion. Besides, I’ll be stirring fifteen times clockwise then fifteen times counter clockwise, am I correct?” asked the young wizard behind her with his arms crossed over his green tunic.
Amber glowered at the wall, “I’ve done fine up till now.”
Terrence shook off his black leather boots at the doormat before making his way over to the exhausted witch glaring at the non-offensive wall.
“Boss, I’ve seen you concoct this particular potion many times before. I think I can do the finishing touches. Please, for the benefit of the village, get some sleep?” he implored.
She sighed and stood up; finally admitting defeat.
“Fine, just see to it that you get it right. And don’t come anywhere near my room when you’re done. You have seven other, simpler potions to concoct after you finish that one. They’re written down on that piece of paper nailed to the lower right hand corner of the table. The page numbers and volume names are written next to the potion name, so you shouldn’t have trouble finding them. Don’t mess up,” and with that she whisked off into her room and shut the door.
Terrance chuckled for a second before calling out after her, “Good night Amber, may your mood be brighter in the morning!”
Spiritus Draco: Gosh, that’s toasty.
